Muscat was chosen to be on the 2008 Olympic Torch relay map, making it the only Middle Eastern capital amongst international cities to host the relay. The Olympic Torch will embark on a journey, crossing five continents passing through 21 countries and traveling a total distance of 97,000 km.
Ravi Shastri is among the celebrities who are landing in Muscat for bearing the torch along with group of 80 selected people.
